In order to achieve our vision of ensuring that women and children globally have access to their basic human rights, BHR adopts a grassroots, rights based approach, working with whole communities to implement long term sustainable programmes.

Taking a collaborative approach on the ground we work closely with communities and local organisations, promoting owner driven programmes to ensure the creation of long-term sustainable results that will benefit communities long after our departure.

We align our operations with the Millennium Development Goals with special focus on education, healthcare and enterprise, aiming to eradicate poverty by recognising potential and giving those living in difficult situations the skills and confidence to help themselves and others in their community.

We focus our programmes on quality and not quantity and believe that education and healthcare are the keys to financial empowerment thus ensuring that in the long term communities are empowered to help lift themselves out of poverty and ensure that basic human rights are secured for future generations.
