Bradford Mela

Basic Human Rights staff and
volunteers dedicated their weekend for
fundraising at the Bradford Mela on the 19th
~ 20th June 2010.
As one of the Bradford’s most celebrated
multi-cultural events, it was the ideal
opportunity to plead with the people to
donate toward building the children of Haiti
a safe place to play.
In keeping with making youngsters smile,
several volunteers found themselves dressed
up as popular children’s characters.
The Bradford public gave generously in
exchange for photographs, donating over
£1000 toward the Basic Human Rights Haiti
programme, which will see the charity
travelling to earthquake stricken Haiti
within the next few months to build play
areas for children.
